What is asbestos?

Asbestos is a naturally occurring mineral fiber that can be harmful when inhaled, often found in older building materials like insulation, flooring and siding.

Why is asbestos removal necessary?

Why did we use asbestos in the construction of buildings in the first place?

Asbestos was one of the main sources of insulation before 1990 because it not only keeps heat in, but noise out. It was also used for fireproofing at that time as asbestos is heat and fire resistant. Now we know better!

How can I tell if something contains asbestos?

You usually can’t tell by looking, so you should have a professional test materials suspected to contain asbestos. (Pictures showing 6 types,plus vermiculite which is not asbestos.. )

A clearance is a document used by industry to tell clients or contractors that the asbestos has been safely removed or contained. Complete Property Restoration will supply a clearance letter upon request.

How long does it take for mould to grow after water damage?

Mould can begin to grow within 24-48 hours after water damage occurs. It’s important to have water damage cleaned up and dried as quickly as possible to prevent mould growth.

Is mould visible or can it be hidden?

Mould can be visible or hidden. If you smell a musty odor, see signs of water damage, or experience respiratory symptoms, it’s important to have your home assessed for mould even if you don’t see any visible signs.
